Inter Milan keeping tabs on Leverkusen centre-back Jonathan Tah
The German player's contract with Leverkusen will expires next June and he is a potential free agent for the next summer transfer market
Jonathan Tah's contract with Leverkusen will expires next June and he is a potential free agent for the next summer transfer market.
The eyes of half of Europe are on him, including those of Inter Milan, who specialise in such this kind of purchase with the duo of Marotta & Ausilio.
The interest in the 195-centimetre German centre-back is confirmed today by Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Tah's profile is one that is liked and has been followed for some time: the class of 1996 is a strong header, has speed, strong in anticipation and in hand-to-hand combat.
To all this he combines skill in setting up from the bottom.
Tah has already informed his team that he does not want to renew his contract and this has created more than one discontent within the Leverkusen board, but Jonathan feels he is ready for a definitive career leap, as La Rosea assures.
What remains to be understood is the economic demand: should he stay at 5 million euros (£4.1 million), then the opportunity would become too great.
Watch out for the usual Bayern (when it comes to the domestic market...) and Liverpool, who are on the hunt for Van Dijk's heir (also with a contract expiring next June).
Inter Milan will intervene in that area of the pitch in the summer: Acerbi and De Vrij contracts are expiring next June, the role needs to be refreshed after the arrivals of Bisseck and Palacios as right-back.
