An important equaliser from the Nerazzurri wing-back. Victory for Turkey, but a defeat for Albania

Four Nerazzurri players were in action for their national teams on Friday evening: Denzel Dumfries, Stefan de Vrij, Hakan Calhanoglu and Kristjan Asllani all took to the pitch in the Nations League.

Dumfries scores for the Netherlands

Two Inter Milan players featured in Budapest as the Dutch took on Hungary.

It wasn't the easiest of nights for the Netherlands, who fell behind before being reduced to ten men, but an 83rd-minute Denzel Dumfries header secured a 1-1 away draw.

Both Dumfries and Stefan de Vrij played the full 90 minutes. It was Dumfries' eighth goal (in 61 appearances) for his country, and it arrived while he was wearing the captain's armband, which was given to him following Van Dijk's red card.

Following this draw, the Netherlands find themselves on five points, two behind Germany in League A Group 3.

Calhanoglu and Asllani in action

Captained by Hakan Calhanoglu, Turkey ran out 1-0 winners over Montenegro in Samsun.

Hakan, who was one of the standout performers, played the entire match. The Turks currently sit top of Group B4 in the Nations League.

It was a disappointing night for Kristhan Asllani's Albania.

The Nerazzurri midfielder featured for 90 minutes as his country fell to a 2-0 away defeat to Czechia. The Albanians now sit third in Group B1.
