The class of 2003 defender is performing well in Serie B and with the U21 national team: the Nerazzurri are watching him with interest.
Nicolò Bertola is one of the players on Inter Milan's list: the defender, born in 2003, is currently showing off his skills with Spezia in Serie B and with the U21 national team, and his contract expiring in June has made many clubs prick up their antennae.
The Nerazzurri management has an excellent relationship with the Ligurian side, and in recent days there has been direct contact to try to find an agreement between the parties.
This is what the Italian newspaper published in Genoa, Il Secolo XIX, writes via Fcinter1908.it: "Stefano Melissano (Spezia's coach) asked for and obtained an important meeting at Inter Milan.
He has thus met in recent days with Dario Baccin, Piero Ausilio's right-hand man at the Nerazzurri. The two executives, placed at the table, tried to understand one of Bertola's possible future scenarios, that at Inter Milan.
Baccin reportedly confirmed that the Nerazzurri are following the player, who remains under monitoring, but has not yet made any official moves.
Inter Milan and Spezia, however, would have an agreement, and the Milanese club would not go ahead with the purchase of Bertola, picking him up as free agent, without somehow coming to the aid of the white club.
A long list of names has thus been sifted through, of possible signings for next year's Spezia, either calculating to remain in Serie B (Fontanarosa, Di Maggio and others) or to be possibly promoted (among those on loan like Vanheusden, Kamate, Carboni).
The two clubs have therefore agreed to meet at the end of December to see how the situation will evolve" ended Il Secolo XIX.
