The Inter Milan captain is looking for continuity in front of goal, but Inzaghi could also rest him ahead of upcoming engagements.
Lautaro, hasn't scored at San Siro for a long time, is also looking for a goal in response to his seventh place finish in the Ballon d'Or.
"Lautaro hasn't scored a goal in the league at the San Siro since 28 February last year: Pavard's through ball, right-footed control and left-footed strike that made it 2-0 ahead of Atalanta in a match that was run in fluency and finished 4-0 up.

A very long period, almost a lifetime if you think how crucial Lautaro is for Inter Milan with his goals," writes Italian newspaper website Gazzetta.it.

"On Sunday, with kick-off scheduled for 20:45 CEST (19:45 local time), Inter Milan host Venezia at the San Siro.

Eusebio Di Francesco's team relaunched themselves in the standings first with the draw at Monza and then yesterday with the victory over Udinese at the Penzo.

It remains to be seen how much Simone Inzaghi will want to resort to squad rotation, considering that on Wednesday - again at the San Siro - Arsenal will arrive for the Champions League match.

But for Lautaro, Venezia in some ways represents an opportunity.

To remove the controversy (he himself said “the Ballon d'Or is often not decided in the right way”) and start to score again after too long.

But last match against Empoli, Lautaro reaffirmed it once again, if there was any need: he knows how to do it" adds the Italian newspaper.
