UEFA Ranking: Inter Milan is sixth in Europe! But the seasonal ranking is remarkable
Inter Milan’s status as a European powerhouse is now firmly established as does the UEFA ranking data

Inter Milan’s status as a European powerhouse is now firmly established, and Tuesday night’s victory at the Allianz Arena confirms it — as does the UEFA ranking data.
Inter Milan’s position among Europe’s elite clubs is now solid, and their win at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night is further proof.
So is the updated UEFA ranking following the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals: Simone Inzaghi’s team remains sixth overall with 109.250 points, just behind Paris Saint-Germain.
Real Madrid stays in first place, although they now need to overturn a 3-0 defeat at the Emirates against Arsenal.

Season Ranking
But the most striking figure comes from this season’s ranking: Inter Milan sit in second place with 33.250 points.
Inzaghi’s side was actually top for one night, but were overtaken by Barcelona, who reclaimed first place after their home win against Borussia Dortmund.
Inter Milan still have the second leg against Bayern to play, while Barcelona are practically already in the semifinals — and who knows, maybe first and second place could face off in the next round.
