The Canadian striker is approaching the end of his contract and has already decided to leave Lille: the latest updates about his future.
Jonathan David is the dream target at Inter Milan. The Canadian’s contract expires next summer, and the Nerazzurri are among the leading contenders to sign him.
The player, through his agent, has already communicated his demands to join his new team.
"The Canadian striker’s contract is expiring, and he has decided not to renew with Lille, which had proposed a one-year renewal with a low release clause (between 20 and 30 million euros [£16,6 million-£25 million]) to allow the club to profit as well. Nick Mavromaras, his agent, has already presented the terms to Piero Ausilio and Cristiano Giuntoli, the sporting directors of Inter Milan and Juventus, who – as of today – remain the most active clubs regarding David:
the request is for a five-year contract, a net salary of 6 million euros (£5 million), a large signing bonus, and commissions (for Marcus Thuram, it’s worth noting, Inter Milan paid 8 million euros [£6,6 million]).
The player will turn 25 on January 14, which makes him a highly attractive target for both Inter Milan and Juventus, particularly in terms of player trading," writes Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
