Darmian: "Difficult to explain, we'll work to improve"

A bitter draw for Inter Milan in Parma. 

The Nerazzurri took a two-goal lead into the break, but the hosts mounted a second-half comeback to come away with a point. 

Matteo Darmian, who has been decisive in so many matches, opened the scoring and, in doing so, bagged his third of the season and 13th in an Inter Milan shirt. 

Out of these 13 goals, eleven were finishes to make it 1-0. This time, however, it wasn't enough for three points.

“It's hard to explain: a team like ours should not let a two-goal lead slip. We need to work on this. It’s difficult to find an explanation right now, but we’ll work on everything because our remaining matches are increasingly important, and we’ll need to be ready. In Serie A, you can’t afford to slow down, and today’s draw proves it. It’s not as if we hit the brakes: the team reacted after their second goal, but we weren’t able to win. We’ll move on from this draw and look to the future with a positive mindset. In just three days, we have a crucial match against a very strong team where we’ll need to prove our worth. We want to compete in every competition, and we’ll go to Germany to produce a big performance. We know the challenges that await, and we’ll do our best to prepare in the best possible way and recover our energy. Returning to Parma was a pleasure.
