Here are the probable formation choices of Inzaghi ahead of the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final.

Inter Milan's ambition to be a protagonist in all competitions this season reaches the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia.

Tomorrow, the first leg of the derby against Milan will require careful management, considering the numerous upcoming fixtures and several absences.

For this reason, Inzaghi is working on the best formula during the retreat in Appiano Gentile.

The lineup for tomorrow will certainly feature some changes compared to the Udinese match, starting with the return of Bastoni and Barella: the former had a rest due to suspension, while the latter served a one-match suspension against Parma and is available for the Milan match.

In goal, Martinez will return, but he won’t be the only change in defense. Bisseck is currently favored over Pavard, while De Vrij will return to the squad and, according to information gathered by Fcinter1908.it, could surprisingly start in place of Acerbi.

In midfield, Barella is certain of a spot, though not necessarily as the right-sided midfielder. In that role, Frattesi could play, with Barella potentially moving to the left to give Mkhitaryan a rest.

On the wings, Darmian and Carlos Augusto are expected to start, with Zalewski behind in the pecking order for either of the two, but ready to come on as a substitute.

Up front, with Lautaro and Taremi unavailable, three players remain in the running for two spots.

It’s likely that Thuram will start alongside Correa, who is currently preferred over Arnautovic. How Inzaghi manages the substitutions during the game remains to be seen.

The final confirmation will come after tomorrow morning’s practice in Appiano Gentile.

Here is the probable lineup for Milan-Inter:

INTER MILAN (3-5-2): Sommer; Bisseck, De Vrij, Bastoni; Darmian, Frattesi, Calhanoglu, Barella, Carlos Augusto; Thuram, Correa.
