Bisseck:"I like to score. The first with Inter Milan was beautiful"
The Nerazzurri defender talks about himself in an interview
The Nerazzurri defender Yann Bisseck talks about himself in an interview.
The main player of the Matchday Programme is Yann Bisseck.
The German defender, who is in his second year as a Nerazzurro, has revisited his career since the turning point in 2017: "In the quarterfinals against Brazil in the World Cup with the U17 against Germany, there were around 80,000 people at the stadium. That was the first time in my career I thought "Gosh, this is where a career in football can take me".
It gave me a huge boost, so much so that a few weeks later I made my professional debut: that game had prepared me for this moment.
Sometimes I realize that my hatred of defeat is stronger than the joy I feel in victory, which is why I prefer to win.
Every athlete I believe has the desire to win: if you are an athlete the winning mentality is already part of you, I grow up in this way.
Winning the Scudetto in my first season was a great thing. I have learned a lot on the pitch, and also outside.
I grew up as a person and as a player, especially in tactical awareness".
"For me, in football, it’s fundamental to have fun. It’s important to keep the same passion, go to the pitch with your heart, like the first times.
I like basketball but also American football and ice hockey. Besides sports I like culture in general, go to visit museums, read a book and then love cooking.
The Scudetto parade? It’s one of the few things I can say I’ve never seen in my life, and it doesn’t happen often.
It was a fantastic experience, with the whole city being Nerazzurra. I don’t have many words to describe those moments lived by the bus.
Every time I’m still amazed by the photos and videos.
I like to score. The first with Inter Milan was beautiful, in San Siro with all the fans shouting my name, everyone in an explosion of joy and then all the teammates around, very happy for me.
It felt fantastic. It was a surreal moment. After the game is over, when everyone congratulates you, that’s when you realize you’ve done something special."
"The partner I choose for a challenge? I know who likes to challenge me: Denzel Dumfries.
When we are in the team together in training always pushes me to do more.
For me it is like an older brother.
A Nerazzurri legend that I would challenge?
If I had to challenge an Inter Milan legend I would definitely choose Diego Milito. How do I burdened for a challenge?
I go on the pitch and try to have fun. I always want to play to the maximum, so I put in the maximum effort".
