The update on the two tracks for the Nerazzurri defense: Will Tomas Palacios be the reinforcement that will complete the defence of Inter Milan

The italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport explains why it will be necessary to wait a bit before we can see how the negotiations will end: "Palacios  is currently on loan at Independiente Rivadivia from Talleres, but, Independiente Rivadivia has the option to buy the young Argentine at the end of his loan deal.

The loan runs out at the end of December of this year.

However, Inter Milan’s interest means that Palacios is unlikely to even see out his loan at Rivadivia.

So, the first hurdle in this negotiation is that actually deal with two clubs and not one".

The player’s economic evaluation is also understandable: "As for the bid that will be submitted to the two Argentine teams at the beginning of next week, Marotta does not want to exceed the fixed budget of 6 million euros (£5 million).

It will therefore take a few days to fully understand the feasibility of the operation".
What are the alternatives? explains italian newspaper: "There are less than two weeks to the end of the market.

In recent days, Inter Milan had also thought of Faye from Barcelona, for whom the demand of the Catalans is 15 million euros (£12,7 million). Too many, for now.

Inzaghi would have preferred a more experienced profile, like Ricardo Rodriguez or Mario Hermoso, two other names the Nerazzurri have evaluated in the past.

The Swiss man has joined Real Betis. The Spanish player is still free agent".
