Dimarco: "Last year we wrote the history of Inter Milan. On 22 April the biggest emotion"
The words from left-back: "Winning the second star is an honor and a goal that has made us grow along the way"
Intervisted by the MatchDay Programme of Inter Milan-Atalanta, Federico Dimarco, an Inter Milan left-back, returned to the second star won last season: "Last year was a beautiful season because as a team, group and company we wrote a piece of history of Inter Milan.
Winning the second star is an honor and a milestone that has made us grow along the way.
We believed it from the beginning, that’s where the group was built and working hard we proved our value and we got to our goal.
The biggest emotion I felt was definitely that of 22 April 2024, at the final whistle of the derby.
My grandfather and uncle made me a football enthusiast, and since I was two years old they took me to the stadium to see Inter Milan.
From there I started to support this club and fell in love with football.
In training I always challenge Barella, we have known each other since we were 14 years old. I would have liked to challenge Eto'o, a player I’ve always admired.
The biggest challenge I faced? Certainly the one to return to wear the jersey of Inter Milan.
The Champions League final was a great game to play, my first, and I’m glad it was played like Manchester City.
It was a match that made us understand the level of our team.
The work of years before and the awareness that gave us that match pushed us to reach the incredible goal that was the Second Star.
That’s why it means so much to me.
Winning this Scudetto as we have won it was incredible, we are very happy to have written this piece of history Nerazzurra".
