According to reports from Spain, Inter Milan has set its sights on the goalkeeper of Real Sociedad.

The club has long been thinking about a successor for Yann Sommer, who is a key player for Simone Inzaghi.

Since arriving just over a year ago, Sommer has proven to be a top-tier goalkeeper and was one of the main contributors to the team's victory in securing the second star.

Although Josep Martinez arrived from Genoa in the summer for a fee around €13.5 million (£11.2 million), plus €1.5 million (£1.2 million) in potential bonuses, reports from Spain claim that Inter Milan is already looking for another goalkeeper ahead of next season.

The player

The player who seems to be most convincing to those at Viale della Liberazione is Álex Remiro. The 1995-born goalkeeper from Real Sociedad has become one of the best in La Liga, and his departure next summer is considered highly likely.

According to El Nacional, Inter Milan has already initiated talks to reach an agreement with the Spanish club.

Remiro is Inzaghi's preferred choice, as the coach believes the goalkeeper would integrate into his style of play, particularly due to his excellent ability with the ball at his feet, a crucial skill for Inzaghi's tactical setup.

Although Remiro has always stated that he feels very comfortable at Real Sociedad, where he has been for five years and become a fan favorite, he cannot hide his attraction to the idea of joining Inter Milan, a move that would offer him a higher salary, the chance to play in the Champions League, and the opportunity to fight for the title.
