Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi, speaking to Italian broadcast DAZN, commented on the draw against Monza:
"The team’s approach was good: in the first 20 minutes we created a lot, we had to be good at scoring first.
Last year was a similar match but we took the lead immediately.
Today there were important opportunities.
Then we were slow to one touch and we had little quality in the last step: we probably had to kick more, we were less lucid than usual.
Then Monza made a great game.
In the second half we were a little weak, when we seemed to have regained confidence more we took a eurogol. We are sorry but we go forward."
Simone Inzaghi spoke, also, about Frattesi and Asllani.
"They did well: the team made the match had to make.
We wanted the victory and maybe we deserved it: congratulations to Monza, he made a good match.
Dimarco? He was tired but I had run out of slots: he only had cramps but there is no problem.
Zielinski? It’s a half-wing that has entered well: it will give us so much quality.
With the two strikers he was the midfielder, but after this summer’s little problem he came back well, I was satisfied. He like a midfielder?
Honestly I like it as a half-back, we’re covered in that role".
