The doubts on the eve of the match were different.
Simone Inzaghi in the run-up to Inter Milan-Venezia has repeatedly thought about how to manage resources because, until the international break, at least on paper, should be the least demanding match.
But the risk of underestimating the commitment is something that the Nerazzurri coach wants to avoid at all costs and for this reason, in the end, there are very few squad rotations, according to what has been ascertained by Italian website Fcinter1908.
The good news from the infirmary is the recoveries of Acerbi and Calhanoglu, who will still sit on the bench and perhaps come into the match in progress for a little run-in towards Arsenal and Napoli.
In defence there will be Pavard (who was rested against Empoli) and not Bisseck, with De Vrij called upon to work overtime along with Bastoni.
In the middle rests Frattesi, who with Calhanoglu at this point could return as a starter against Arsenal. Dumfries has overtaken Darmian on the right wing.
In attack, however, space for Lautaro and Thuram.
Simone Inzaghi, meanwhile, is relying on certainties and asking for an effort from his Inter Milan side until the next international break.
Inter Milan's final line-up against Venezia:
