Simone Inzaghi, Inter Milan coach, spoke at a press conference after the derby against Milan. These were his statements:
"We never gave the feeling of being a team, we had to do more, I was first. Milan won because they defended better, were more compact and we played a low game.

After the tie we created something but it was not the usual Inter Milan, we did not express our game.

In the second half they scored three times in 15 minutes: I tried to change but it changed little. We will analyze and work on what is not gone".

The substitution?

It’s not an excuse, the team has approached all wrong: who entered had to do something more but I am responsible.

Defeat hurts us, but in football we must accept it as long as it is analyzed correctly. Underrated Milan? I can’t say, we prepared it well without listening to anything: it was a lack of lucidity, it wasn’t the usual Inter Milan that we know.
We didn’t express our football. Underrated no, Milan is strong and built, we had prepared well.

How much has the Manchester game affected today?

Milan had played like us against Liverpool: they had spent their lucidity changing even fewer men.

The ranking? It’s a small consolation, we are in many in few points: we have to change, 8 points are few.

The 4-2-4 of Milan? They are a great team: we talked about it yesterday, the last training we focused on that.

We found a team that defended when it was supposed to, was in the game and approached the two halves much better.

I tried to change to get closer but it has changed little.
"I blame myself, I am the coach and responsible: sorry to lose the derby in this way, we knew Milan had important strikeouts and we have allowed too many.

We lost our lucidity in the moments and in the distances, with these teams so good at the start we had to do better", concluded Inzaghi.
