After the win against Arsenal, secured by Calhanoglu's penalty, captain Lautaro Martinez, Piotr Zieliński, Bisseck, Dumfries, and Benjamin Pavard shared their thoughts on the match.

“These matches, in this competition, are great to play. We faced a team with a lot of quality and top players.

I believe that in the first 25 minutes of the first half, we showed quality and put them in difficulty. Then we dropped in intensity and suffered a bit, but we played a match with quality, character, and as a team, just as we wanted. I always try to transmit something on the pitch.

How am I? I played 90 minutes against Venezia, and I always say that the more I play, the better I feel. Now we need to recover our energy and focus on what's coming in the league”

Lautaro Martinez

“It wasn’t an easy match, Arsenal has quality and put us in difficulty, but what matters is the final result, and despite the struggles, we won.

Left midfield is my natural position, I feel great there, but if there's an emergency, I’ll play wherever the coach wants, giving my best. We are aware of our strengths, we are a great team, and the points we've earned show this, so we need to keep going like this. Right now, I’m feeling good, I’m improving, I’ve played more, and the two injuries slowed me down a bit at the start of the season, but now I’m doing well and I always try to give my best to help the team”

Piotr Zieliński

“We did very well, it was a difficult match, we had to fight. We scored the goal, and we were solid defensively and focused.

They pressed us a lot, and they had possession for much of the game, but we finished with another clean sheet, which is very important.

Everyone gave their best, working hard for the team, whether they started or came on during the game. Defensively, we did a great job. Now, we turn our focus to Napoli”
