Simone Inzaghi will have another winger to use it: Tajon Buchanan
Not only Carlos Augusto, who will soon be back in the group. The coach will have another winger to rotate for his 3-5-2
Buchanan, the Canadian winger, has played very little so far, even taking into account the injury that kept him out for several months, spending a lot of time on the bench in both Serie A and the Champions League.
In particular, he was hardly used throughout last month, when Inter Milan had a series of very intense matches, and coach Inzaghi preferred to rely on other players with more experience and better form.
However, now, with the return from the international break and the upcoming schedule featuring more back-to-back games, coach Simone Inzaghi will have the opportunity to use him more frequently.
The fact that Buchanan has started playing again, as seen in his recent appearance in the Nations League match against Suriname with the Canadian national team, is a positive sign.
In that match, he played 12 minutes, marking his first time on the pitch after a long period of inactivity.
This puts him in a good position to finally become a regular part of Inzaghi’s rotations, offering an additional option on the wings in his 3-5-2 system.
Inter Milan's coach will now have another attacking option to rotate, increasing the depth of his squad, especially on the wings.
Buchanan's versatility, as he can play both as a right-winger and as a full-wing back, gives Inzaghi more flexibility.
His physical freshness, combined with his desire to prove himself and the fact that he can be used in various positions, makes him a valuable asset for face it the intense calendar and numerous matches Inter Milan will face in the coming months.
Buchanan’s return to action could also mark the start of a new phase for him at Inter Milan, with the hope that he will finally contribute meaningfully and integrate into the team’s tactical setup.
