The excellent performances with Spezia and a great debut with the Italy Under-21 shirt have put the spotlight on the future of Nicolò Bertola

The young player's contract expires in June 2025 with the Ligurian club and, according to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the big Serie A teams, including Inter Milan, have their eyes on him:
"This debut in the Azzurri jersey could change his career already in a matter of weeks, as the most important clubs in Serie A have had their eyes on him.

Not only because of his obvious qualities, considering that with D'Angelo (head coach of Serie B club Spezia)  he has already played 8 games and scored 2 goals.

There is, then, another fact: his contract will expire next June.

An opportunity that tempts everyone, even if La Spezia's general manager Melissano has for some time been planning an appointment with the agents of the defender from Carrara, who grew up in the Ligurian club's youth academy.

The intention is to offer him a long-term project that will allow him to give economic solidity to that contract that at the moment does not go beyond 120,000 euros per year (£99.800). That is easy to say, but it is clear that the January hurdle may be decisive in understanding exactly where Bertola will play in 2025.

Needless to say, Inter Milan, Juventus, AC Milan and all the other clubs in the Italian top, without neglecting the usual foreign insiders, have taken information about him. The club of the Piatek family has very good relations with Inter Milan: it is no coincidence that they have obtained the renewal of the loan of Francesco Pio Esposito, who is also in the Under-21 team.

But the will of the player and his entourage will weigh heavily in this match. The big players are all in the running: who will make the first move?".
