During the first half Francesco Acerbi suffered a muscular issue

Bad news for Simone Inzaghi's Inter Milan in Verona. 

During the first half at the Bentegodi, before Joaquin Correa's opening goal (and Marcus Thuram's second), Francesco Acerbi suffered a muscular issue. 

After a brief attempt to continue playing, the Inter Milan defender was forced to ask for a substitution. Inzaghi then brought on Stefan de Vrij.

The problem

Inter Milan have confirmed that Acerbi was substituted due to a strain in the flexor muscles of his right thigh, not the one previously affected by an earlier injury. 

It's worth noting that Acerbi had only recently returned to action after a long injury layoff in the match against Napoli at San Siro, which ended 1-1.
