Dumfries returning to Milan. Long recovery time: here’s the match he could return for

As reported by the Italian editorial team of Fcinter1908.it, there has been no positive news regarding Dumfries' injury.

As revealed, the winger will be out for another 20 days and will also miss the return leg against Bayern in the Champions League. 

"Not just Bayern: Denzel Dumfries risks missing the Coppa Italia return derby as well. The most likely return to the field is for the match at the end of April against Roma, but caution is advised. 

And, above all, everyone is anxiously awaiting another return: that to Milan. Dumfries should return in the coming hours, by the weekend: the club’s management is pushing in this direction," writes Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Dumfries left for the Netherlands a week ago, with the club's permission, of course. However, he did not follow a recovery plan coordinated with Inter Milan. 

On the contrary, the winger decided to have a trusted physiotherapist, who doesn't even work with the Dutch national team, take care of his rehabilitation for his hamstring injury. 

Essentially, Inter Milan has remained a spectator during this phase and still is, at least until they can see the player again in Appiano. 

In the meantime, something has happened. The recovery time has been extended beyond the initial expectations and even the first update on them. 

With the initial exam, Inter Milan and Inzaghi were expecting a return in time for the first leg against Bayern. Then came the first delay: aiming for the return leg with the Germans. 

Now the latest disappointing news: at least 20 more days are needed. Or perhaps it’s better to say “would be needed.”
