The first edition of the new 32-team Club World Cup will be played in the summer of 2025.
But the ranking is already being done, which decides the participants of the second edition, that of 2029.
To decide who will be part of it, the various criteria were drawn up by UEFA that qualify 13 teams from around the world and join the winners of the cups, from CL to Libertadores.
The FIFA ranking is based on the scores of individual continental tournaments and therefore, three points for victory, one for tie and three points also for qualification from stage to stage.
In the case of the first edition, for European teams, UEFA ranking based on performance in CL with two points to win, one per tie, four points for qualifying to the groups, five for qualifying into the round of 16 and one point for advancing to each successive stage of the competition.
The 2029 Club World Cup will bring the winners of the next four editions of the Champions League and the eight best teams by ranking and with the start of this edition of the Champions 24-25 there is already a list, as reported by Italian website Calcio e Finanza:
