Bijol:"Me at Inter Milan? Who wouldn’t want to! Of course, I’m interested"

The words of the defender: "Thuram? A player like that needs to be contained with team play. And with Inter Milan, you can't forget anyone."

Jaka Bijol, the defender of Udinese who is highly regarded by Inter Milan, gave an interview to the Italian newspaper Repubblica via Fcinter1908.it. 

Here are his words ahead of tomorrow night's match, with a mention of the future: "Four years ago at home, I beat Handanovic, a legend for us Slovenians. 

Scoring again at San Siro would be a dream. It will be tough, against one of the best teams in Europe. But we're in a good moment, and we can earn points anywhere." 

Will you mark Thuram?

"A player like that needs to be contained with team play. And with Inter Milan, you can't forget anyone. Everyone scores, even the defenders."

Of the Inter Milan central defenders, who do you like the most?

"I'd say Bastoni, one of the best in the world. He has an incredible left foot, it's beautiful to watch him play."

Who will win the league?

"I think Inter Milan can make it."

And Udinese, what are they aiming for?

"The Conference League is 11 points away. As long as math still allows, we believe."

Do you plan to stay in Italy in the coming years?

"Serie A is one of the best leagues in the world, and I'm happy I chose Udinese. I've grown here. The Premier League fascinates me. And as a child, I was a fan of Barça. Now I feel ready to take a step forward."

Would you play for Inter Milan?

"Who wouldn't want to? I don't think there are many players in the world who wouldn't want to be at Inter Milan right now. 

I'm certainly interested, but for now, I want to beat them on Sunday, then we'll see in the summer."
