Calhanoglu will not take part in the away match against Verona

Simone Inzaghi is playing it safe and leaving the midfielder in Milan ahead of the trip to Verona. 

As widely anticipated, according to the Italian website Fcinter1908.it Hakan Calhanoglu will not take part in the away match against Hellas Verona. 

The Turkish midfielder suffered a muscle strain in his left thigh during Turkey-Wales match. Inzaghi has opted not to take any risks, given the demanding schedule ahead, where the team will need all its players. 

According to Sky Sport, Calhanoglu has remained in Appiano to be fully ready for the upcoming Champions League match against RB Leipzig on Tuesday. 

Hakan Çalhanoğlu’s injury comes at a time when Inter Milan has a packed fixture schedule, with important matches in both Serie A and the Champions League. 

His left thigh strain, sustained during the international match between Turkey and Wales, is not considered serious but still requires caution. 

Given Inter Milan's busy calendar, coach Simone Inzaghi decided not to rush him back into action against Verona, allowing him extra time to recover fully and be available for the Champions League clash with RB Leipzig.
