After starring in the Poland shirt, Inter Milan midfielder Zielinski suffered a muscle strain.
In the post-match interview he said he was optimistic about his condition, and will be assessed once he arrives in Milan.
"For the moment, Zielinski is still in Poland. He will return to Milan this afternoon or tomorrow to undergo any routine examinations, hoping to avert another injury.
The second, because in the summer pre-season, during friendly against Pisa, the Pole had felt the same discomfort, again in the thigh, and was convinced he had felt it in time.
Then, however, he was forced to miss the following friendlies (with Al-Ittihad in Ferrara and in London against Chelsea) and the first day of the championship against Genoa. He was only the bench in the next two matches against Lecce and Atalanta.
Difficult, at this point, to assume a presence of Zielinski in the away match that Inter Milan will face next Sunday at the Olimpico against Roma.
It remains to be seen whether the Pole will manage to recover at least for the bench" writes Italian website Gazzetta.it.
